React Job: Web UI Developer

The Project

The project involves creating a new UI for software that operates agricultural equipment. The new UI will be touch screen and able to run on mobile devices such as an iPad or smart phone as well as the Linux computer that runs the agricultural equipment.

The UI is a new design that is more intuitive and replaces an ascii based UI. The UI is being designed by an in-house person however you may be asked to provide input and expertise to the design.

The UI will be developed using a JavaScript open-source environment such as node.js. It will interface with a PostgreSQL database.

The Contract

The contract is part time for three to six months starting in late February or early March. We are currently doing screen design and flowcharting.

You will be part of a team that is creating this new UI. You will be the lead technologist and will be relied upon to provide best practices for security, development and functionality.

Work can be done remotely however visits to the office in Kitchener-Waterloo will be required from time to time.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4-6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: $50.00-$75.00 per hour
